Kookaburras & Emus
How grown up are we? In our Pre-School centre we are all getting ready to head off to school together and form those life long friendships.
Pre-School (4 - 5 Years)
- 2 Rooms
- 40 Children
- 4 Educators
In our dedicated pre-school centre we provide all our children with the opportunity to commence their journey towards a life of full self expression.
Early Learning Program
We facilitate this through a carefully planned and stimulating educational program, supported with play, art, music, cooking, relaxation, African drumming and yoga, all designed and delivered by our highly qualified Educational Leaders and external specialists.
At Echinda Early Learning Centre we embrace and acknowledge the views of Dr Leonie Arthur from the University of Western Sydney who has a Doctorate in Early Childhood Education, Dr Arthur is recognised by ACECQA our National body as a leader in this field.
Echidna Early Learning Centre therefore provides rich learning opportunities throughout the year which develop and support the following learning dispositions, including enthusiasm, curiosity, persistence, confidence, co-operation and reflexivity. In time these learning dispositions will provide children with the ability to make meaning of their world by applying what they already know for a successful transition to school.
We have an open door policy at Echidna and Parents and families are welcome at any time. We value parent input and participation.
The pre-schooler's have their own dedicated building and play spaces to maximize age appropriate opportunities without having to be mindful of the younger children. We feel this is an important factor in their preparations for school.
